Congrats to Ralphie for winning the illustrious title of dogger’s Dog of the Month! But further congrats are in order. Anyone that knows Ralphie knows that he is a true beauty! He was even scouted by CoverGirl! Ralphie, known for his long lashes, was a natural choice to be CoverGirl’s first CoverDog promoting dog mascara! He was a natural! You will see Ralphie’s face all over Times Square billboards soon so keep your eyes peeled!
July 2022: Dog Of The Month: Sonny Warner
Congratulations to Sonny Warner for being July 2022’s Dog of the month!
It's a bird! It's a plane! No, wait.... it's Captain Sunderpants!
This big boy is the local hero of Park Slope! He's rescued cats from trees, old ladies from burning buildings, and chased out vile villains from his own home! This wonderpup can do it all!
But when he's not Brooklyn's favorite superdog, he flies under the radar with his secret identity, Sonny W. - a laidback man who loves to snooze on the couch or lounge in the sun. No one would ever suspect the hero lurking under the surface!
We're all big fans of Captain Sunderpants here, and are thrilled we can present our dear Sonny as dog of the month!

We have Earl “Good Boy” Markus coming into the ring! Weighing only a “smol” amount of pounds, less than a year old, Earl the Puppy is coming to shake up this competition. A true underdog, dogs and puppies!
…
Well folks, it was a hard won battle, but Earl “Good Boy” Markus has come out on top to win this month’s…drum roll please… *drum roll*...DOG OF THE MONTH FOR JUNE!! LET’S HEAR IT FOR EARL EVERYONE!!
May 2022: Dog Of The Month: Sarah Sweeney
Congratulations to Sarah Sweeney for winning the illustrious title of doggers Dog of the Month for May! Sarah is a certified Good Girl™️ and has stolen the hearts of all the employees of dogger. What you might not know though, is that she is also a star athlete!!
When we were interviewing Sarah, she told us all about her athletic achievements outside of dogger. Sarah can be found in Prospect Park training for her Olympic debut in 2024 in Paris! The only problem is Sarah can’t decide which event she wants to go for!! Skilled in both long and short distance: Sarah can do it all!
Some fun facts about Sarah:
Sarah actually has broken Usain Bolt’s 100m record multiple times! It’s quite impressive!
Sarah has come 1st in the Brooklyn Marathon 2 years in a row!
Sarah is the sweetest girl you will ever meet (we checked 3 times)!
Congrats Sarah!
April 2022: Pet of the Month: Spritz Gray
Congratulations to Spritz for being April’s Dog of the Month!
We at Dogger are proud to announce that Spritz is not only dog of the month, but is making her Broadway debut! Spritz is making history as being the first dog to play Mary Poppins in the musical Mary Poppins. It was a risky choice, but we really think it’ll pay off.
Anyone who knows Spritz knows that she’s been training for this her whole life. From her elaborate costumes to her daily dance sessions with her walker, Tommie, honestly no one was better for the role! Rumors say even Julie Andrews will be at opening night! So make sure to get your tickets soon!!
We are honored that a celebrity like Spritz will be attending daycare and repping our brand. It’s going to give us major street cred. There was truly no one better suited for April’s Dog of the Month. Bravo to Spritz!
March 2022: Pet of the Month: Ziggy Perry
Congratulations to Ziggy for being March’s dog of the month !
We at dogger are honored to announce Ziggy Perry as Dog of the Month for March! Ziggy is known in Windsor Terrace as the most revered foodie around, gaining fame on his show
"Doggies, Drive-Ins, and Dives"!
We’ve spent the month interviewing Ziggy to prepare for this moment and here are some of his best quotes!
“Holy moly, pepperoni,” Ziggy said in response to seeing how much he peed.
“Peace, love, and doggy treats!” Ziggy says this is his life motto!
“Dog walking is like snow skiing--if you don’t poop at least 4 times then you’re not skiing hard enough!” Ziggy once sagely said
In our last walk with Ziggy for the month we asked him what it was like to be such a good boy and so loved by walkers. His response was: “I don’t know what singers feel like when they make a song and people clap along and love it, but when people walk up to me and tell me I’m a good boy, that’s what it’s all about.” We don't really understand what he's saying most of the time, but we love his spirit!
February 2022: Pet of the Month Pixel Obata
Congratulations to Pixel for being February’s dog of the month!
Pixel is a wonderful golden doodle with a coat color to envy. But seriously. Holly almost brought her in for a reference for her colorist. As a certified good girl, Pixel was a front runner for this award. She was so shocked when we told her. She gave the following acceptance speech:
“Thank you so much. I haven't recovered from Luna winning, so I'm really emotional and a bit shaky. Oh, God. Thank you, everyone, whoever has ever been to daycare. But this is a day for dogs. So I want to talk about dogs because I love them. And I'm very, very honored to be one – I've got 44 seconds. Okay. There's 250 – over 250 dogs in the dogger database, all of whom are loved by Basia and Ian, who can I just say, like, really support and encourage and champion the dogs that they hire. And we all need a champion. So thank you very much. I just want to say a particular thanks to the family, Trouble, Foxy, Becca. Of course, all the owners who are at home who are working their butts off, but also to Erin, Jenny, and Holly. But one dog in particular I'm going really embarrass, Spritz, you are not only a really spontaneous, exciting, incredibly talented dog, but you are also my friend, Spritz, and thank you for making this daycare a joy and for making me laugh. I love very much. Thank you so much. Thank you.”
January 2022: Pet of the Month: Luna Hahn
We’re pleased to announce that Luna Hahn has been selected as Dog of the Month for January 2022!!
Luna joined dogger 3 years ago, and quickly rose in the ranks of our favorite canines. Beautiful, brilliant, and mysterious, Luna’s status as a dogger Icon was permanently sealed when she planted a meat garden in the dogger backyard. (Why do you think all the dogs love to come to dogger?!)
As the first major garden at dogger since Eleanor Roosevelt’s victory garden during World War II, it has yielded fresh seasonal delicacies for all meat lovers.
Luna’s legendary Steak Tartare roses, Beef Wellington bushes, and Coq Au Vin shrubbery have not only fed all dogger dogs, but given them all “paws-on” gardening experience, which they hope to carry forth to their own homesteads. Delicious bratwurst trees here we come!
As a gifted horticulturalist AND a renown scholar of ancient classics, Luna dedicated the garden to Hermes, the god of animal husbandry, meat and feasting.
We, in turn, dedicate this month to Luna, whose passion for healthy living has inspired countless others for years to come. We love you Luna!
Summer 2021: Pet of the Month: Danny Pulitzer
We are proud to announce that Danny Pulitzer has officially been named dogger's Pet of the Month. With his devastatingly handsome, fluffy white face, his boyish charm, and his utter dominance of the entire canine world social hierarchy, this 9 month old Semoyed heartthrob is every lady-dog’s dream come true. Blessed with an aire of power that masks an unmistakably cute, cuddly side, Danny made this email's editorial board swoon with his impeccable fashion sense and dazzling smile.“ He has that rare ability to somehow be completely adorable and completely macho at the same time,” admirers Beezus the Doodle and Birdie the Poodle have said. “And that’s the quality that makes him the sort of beast that lady-dogs want, and dude-dogs want to be. He’s a real hunk with a real intensity, who also knows how to cut loose and let his hair down.” Congratulations Danny!
Spring 2021: Pet of the Month: Monty Eldh
This month we'd like to introduce you to dogger pack member Monty. Monty is an Affenpinscher, a mini German breed that goes back all the way to the 1600s. Did you know that "Affen" means "Monkey" in German? It does! That's why Monty always responds to his dogger nickname "Monkey".
He loves walking on his hind legs, giving high-fives, and Polka dancing. His awesome mom, McKenna, is a midwife at Methodist, and his secret hobby is beer brewing and sauerkraut making. He'll be one year old in May, loves grilled chicken, and hopes to be a Spiritual Advisor when he grows up. We love you Monty!
Summer 2020: Pet of the Month: Dr. Charlie Lategan
Dr Charlie Lategan is an American physician and scientist who has served as the chancellor of the National Institute of Physician Scientists. Since February 2016, when he was adopted in Baton Rouge by his wonderful mama Dr Hannah, he has been considered one of the most trusted medical figures in the country. He is also one of the world’s most-cited scientists in popular scientific journals such as the Fibromyalgia Almanac and the Xeljanz Journal.
Born in Louisiana, this precocious Chihuaha captained his high school’s basketball team and graduated first in his class. He attended medical school at Cornell, and then completed his residency in internal medicine at the New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Charlie has been a visiting professor at many medical centers, and has received 50 honorary doctorates from universities in the U.S. and abroad. In his spare time he enjoys Grand Theft Auto 5 and pilates. Congratulations Charlie for being Dog of the Month!!
May 2020: Dog (pair) of the Month: : Nico & Bear Wertheimer
Beautiful as Aphrodite, wise as Athena, swifter than Hermes, and stronger than Hercules, Princess Nico of the Terrace of Windsor fights for justice in this cruel world. A mysterious Anatolian Shepherd (or maybe Kangol) mix, she hails from Azerbaijan where she honed her martial arts skills to become the fearless warrior that she is. Through her endless heroics, Nico has become a beacon of hope to all who find themselves torn between good and evil. A lady of leisure by day, at night she sheds all pretense, dons her cape and takes to the shadowy streets to inflict justice where justice is due.
Nico’s side-kick Bear (an American Bulldog) serves as Nico’s steadfast companion and mentor, as he is both strong and wise, often pushing Nico through the difficult parts of her Grim Crusade. He was found tied to a bench and covered in grease, and then one day the woman fostering him walked past the (amazing) restaurant Werkstatt on Church and Coney Island Avenue. The moment Werkstatt’s owner, chef Thomas, saw Bear, it was love at first sight, and he had no choice but to adopt him. (By the way, they’re open for take out/delivery and the Austrian food is glorious, check it out! The schnitzel is to die for.)
What a happy story. Congratulations on being the Dog (Pair) of the Month, Nico & Bear!
April 2020 Pet Of The Month: Ollie Blosveren
His followers refer to him as the “Precious Protector” “Wish- Fulfilling Jewel” and “the Presence.” His wikipedia page describes him as "The Chosen One" who is here to teach dharma and serve humanity. The press calls him “His Holiness, the Ollie Lama”. But Ollie Blosveren just describes himself as a Golden Doodle. Born in July 2015 to a simple farming family in a small hamlet in Lancaster County, PA, at the age of 3 months Ollie was recognized as the reincarnation of the previous Spiritual Leader of the World, Fluffy Lama (a border collie, RIP).
Ollie is also dogger’s first full-time client! It’s been an honor to watch him grow and become the sophisticated thinker and compassionate savior that he has become. (Especially during these crazy times). One whose paws remain firmly on the ground, a trait often obscured by his broken English. We just love him so much! His interests include cosmology, neurobiology, quantum physics and balls. With his all American golden boy looks, he also has a lucrative side-gig modeling for various other pet service websites. Congratulations Ollie for being Dog of the Month!!!
March 2020 In Memorium: Daisy Linda Fegan
Adopted 2/3/18 - 2/20/20
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of the sweet Miss Daisy Fegan. She died peacefully after a brave battle with lymphoma. She was only 9 years old, a gorgeous Redbone Coonhound Mix, and words cannot describe how much we’ll miss her. Daisy was adopted by her beloved mom Allison only 2 years ago in Feb 2018, at the Animal Haven dog shelter. Allison wasn't really looking for any particular breed but as soon as she read Daisy’s story and saw her photo she instantly fell in love. Daisy had been abandoned in icy conditions and no shelter in rural West Virginia on New Year's Day, 2018. She was found shivering and covered in snow.
After coming to live with her new mom, Daisy quickly began building loving relationships with everyone. Even though her previous “owners” abandoned her in the worst conditions, she LOVED all people and was happy about life. She LOVED going to the vet. What dog loves the vet?! She loved her mommy, and she loved her dog friends, especially Coconut and Ollie. She tolerated wearing festive headbands for the holidays, and would howl to ambulance sirens whenever they passed by. And her howl was hysterical - a funny old lady gargle-howl. She loved running free in “her” park (Prospect Park) where she took nice long walks with her mom every weekend. Sometimes they would just sit on a blanket and people watch.
The thing she loved most was SLEEP. Daisy was a professional lounger. And her snoring was glorious, she made incredible sleep sounds, like only hound mixes can. A lover of Starbucks Puppaccinos and car rides, she also enjoyed sleepover parties at the Dogger HQ. There she liked laying on the big blue futon and listening to the delightful dog sounds all around her. She was so GOOD. So pure, with the most amazing loving personality. A real, actual angel.
Daisy will be greatly missed by many, but none more so than her mom. Through thick and thin, she loved her with all her heart, and though the pain she feels without her is great, it in no way would compare to having never had her in her life. On her behalf, please give your dog an extra hug, belly rub, kiss, and treat.
February 2020 Pet of the Month: William White
If you were to cross Prince William (the future King), Walter White (the Breaking Bad anti-hero), and a Pekinese, you’d get William White. And so for his sheer Magnificence and Glory, he gets to be our first Dog of the Month!
His back story is just heartbreaking. He was a street dog in sketchy Los Angeles, barely surviving because both of his hind legs were broken when he got hit by a car. He ended up at a shelter, but no one wanted him for a year because of his injuries. Finally, the heroic MaryGen and Shane adopted him, and now he’s thriving and living his best life in Brooklyn. He has two cat roommates named Ninja and Freddy, and in his spare time enjoys board games, true crime podcasts, cheese, and his pink fluffy bed.
He is also in the process of applying for the newly vacated Younger Prince of England job, because he has questionable teeth and knows how to cut ribbons and knight people. Two Princes named William are better than one!
